Saathur is a small town in the southern part of Tamilnadu. It comes under the Virudhunagar district of Tamilnadu. Saathur is very famous for its cottage industries that are many source of income for its residents. Apart from these cottage industries, Saathur is very famous for its Karasev. If you belong to Tamilnadu, you might have definitely heard about Saathur Milagu Karasev. It is thick, less greasy and has a peppery flavor to it. It is so famous that you can find them in almost many sweet shops in this town. I tried to recreate this Saathur Kara sev at home and we loved it. It is super crunchy and burst with pepper flavor in every bite. Try this Saathur Sev and enjoy with a cup of coffee/tea.

Notes
- I have used store-bought flours. If you have homemade flours, you can use them.
- I love mild pepper flavors and wanted to make them kid-friendly. Hence added one plus tablespoon of pepper powder. Increase or decrease quantity based on your spice tolerance.
- Always, deep fry in medium flame to ensure the inner side is also cooked and the outer is uniformly done for a crispy karasev.
