Rose Lassi

Summer is a time when we always feel the need to quench our thirst. apart from water, some cool drinks and juices bring in some sort of freshness to a thirsty throat.  Juices and Drinks are made with fresh fruits, milk, yogurt to cool down the body. Of all the summer drinks, lassi is our favorite at home. Being a dairy lover, I love to have chilled lassi for our summers. While the classic lassi is made and loved by all, we started to like this beautifully colored and flavorful fresh Rose lassi. It is very easy to make at home with minimal ingredients. Ingredients
  • 1 cup Thick Curd
  • 1/2 cup Chilled Milk ((Boiled and Cooled))
  • 1 tbsp Rose Syrup
  • 1/4 tsp Rose Essence
  • 1 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Chopped nuts ((Almonds or Pistachios))
  • 1 tsp Dried Rose Petals ((Optional))
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, add thick curd, chilled milk, one tablespoon of rose syrup and quarter teaspoon of rose essence.
  2. Blend them in a mixer jar or hand blender until frothy.
  3. Add ice cubes to a serving glass. Pour the rose lassi. Garnish with chopped nuts and dried rose petals. Serve chilled on a hot summer day.
Recipe Notes

  • Addition of rose petals is optional. However, it gives a fresh rose flavor in every sip.
  • It is optional to add chopped nuts. However, these give a nice texture to the lassi.
