Deepavali is all about celebration. when theres celebration, theres definitely good food. How about a quick sweet recipe that does not take much time and can be made with easily available ingredients at home? Heard it right! Rava and Coconut are easily available . Add in sugar and a bit of ghee to bring in some festive feel this diwali. This Rava-coconut Burfi is very simple and easy to make under 15 mins. It also makes a perfect fit in your Diwali sweet box for friends and family.
- I have used exactly two teaspoons of ghee for roasting rava and coconut which was sufficient to make the burfi. You may add a teaspoon more if you feel it sticks to the pan.
- I have used freshly grated coconut in this burfi. You can also use readymade desiccated coconut powder. But need to be very careful when roasting as they may burn if roasted longer.
