The lunch box for kids is a huge task for moms. The lunch packed must be filling, healthy, and also a favorite one for kids. Our usual lunchbox menu includes a sandwich and this potato sandwich is an all-time favorite. Potato is a favorite vegetable for most kids. This potato sandwich is very mildly spiced and is perfectly kid-friendly. are very mild. It is also very filling for the lunchbox to run through the whole day. A couple of slices of this sandwich with some fruits for the side will definitely make a filling breakfast or a perfect lunch for the kids.

  • In a pan, add a teaspoon of oil. When hot, add jeera seeds, followed by chopped onions. Saute until soft.
  • Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste, and saute until the raw smell goes off.
  • Add the mashed potatoes and mix them. Now add garam masala and amchur powder. Turn off the stove and add coriander leaves. Combine all of them together.
  • Spread a teaspoon of ketchup on the bread slices. Add a spoonful of the potato filling to one side of the slice. Cover the filling with another slice of bread.
  • Toast both the sides until brown and crispy.

Notes

  • I have used multi-grain bread for making this sandwich. You can make this sandwich with any variety of bread you have.
  • Instead of using butter to toast the sandwich, you can also use olive oil for fewer calories.
  • Use grated carrots or green peas to the sandwich if you would like.
  • If you do not have amchur powder, add juice from half a lemon.
