Porikadalai thogayal is a no- fancy recipe. I have been away from blogging for quiet a while and back now, looking for some comfort food. The seek for these simple foods comes after those elaborate feast at family weddings that we had over the last couple of months. One such comfort foods that we had for yesterday’s lunch was this porikadalai thogayal. A cup of hot steamed rice with a spoonful of porikadalai thogayal and a generous dollop of ghee is definitely a delight to the tastebuds. Pair this simple thogayal and rice with any spicy potato roast or arbi roast and am sure you will definitely enjoy this simple and quick thogayal.

Notes
- The ratio of roasted gram and coconut is to be maintained without altering it. This thogayal has more of roasted gram and coconut is just a supplement to it.
- Do not add water in plenty at the beginning itself. This will result in a runny chutney. Powder the roasted gram and then add water to reach the right consistency.
