Gosthu is a famous breakfast side from Tamil Nadu. They are usually served with Idli or Pongal. There are many types of Gosthu varieties that are made from different types of vegetables. Gosthu can also be made with just onions. One of the very tasty gosthu varieties that are famous in our household is papaya gosthu. The key to a tasty gosthu is to choose the right papaya. We need to make sure the papaya is not too ripe. The mild sweetness from the not so ripe papaya and the spice from the chili makes this papaya gosthu a perfect pair for hot Idlies.
