Paneer is a favorite for everyone including kids and adults. There are many recipes that can be made with paneer ranging from main course to sides, drinks and starters. Paneer Kali mirch is a very flavorful dish with fresh flavours from Pepper. This is definitely different from the buttery paneer butter masala that is commonly made. It is quick to make at home and all the ingredients are easily available. It is very creamy even without the addition of fresh cream. If you are a Paneer lover and want to try hotel style paneer recipe, then you must try this. It can be served with Phulka, Rotis, Jeera rice or any pulav varieties.

  • In a pan, add one teaspoon of oil. Add cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, garlic, green chillies. Saute until onions turn golden along with cashews. Grind to a smooth paste.
  • Add two teaspoons of oil. When hot, add jeera seeds. Add the gravy paste to it . Cook until oil oozes out. Now ad coriander powder, garam masala and salt to taste. Add half cup of water and cover .
  • While the raw smell from spice powders go off, add half a cup of beaten curd to the gravy.
  • Add curd to the gravy and cook in low flame. Let the gravy become creamy. Add cubed paneer pieces to the gravy and let it cook for a min.
  • Add freshly ground pepper and turn off the stove. Serve with rotis or rice.
