Gone are the days, where we used to have elaborate breakfast of Idli, chutney, or upma and dosas. We prefer to keep our breakfast lighter, at the same time healthy and rich with proteins. While my H is a fan of those sugar-coated cornflakes, I am really worried about the processed sugar content in it. While keeping this in mind, I prefer to serve breakfast recipes that are less in processed sugar and more in nutrients on a healthy note. Moreover, I wanted to make sure I know the ingredients that go into it. I have tried to adapt this granola recipe after googling it from many blogs and finally achieved at the right composition of ingredients that my family loves and prefers to eat. While I make this in batches for breakfast to retain the freshness, my LO loves to feed them as such due to the sweetness of the honey and some of his favorite dry fruits and nuts. Now I have to make sure I prepare large batches to fulfill the snack pranks of that little tummy. Do try this healthy granola mix and enjoy them for your breakfast or snack. Over to the recipe now.

Instructions

  1. Take a mixing bowl and add one cup of oats. ( I used Original quaker oats for this). Chop the nuts roughly into pieces and add them.
  2. In a small bowl, melt the butter and set them aside. Add cornflakes, brown sugar, chopped nuts, and raisins to the bowl. Now add the wet ingredients – honey, melted butter and vanilla essence to it. ”;
