
Whenever we eat heavy meals on a festive day, the next day calls for. a simple lunch. Simple Lunch means it either has some rasam, thogayal, or a flavorful Podi with some ghee or gingelly oil. In our household, I always stock up on dal Powder/ Paruppu Podi and this flavorful Dhaniya podi.
This Dhaniya Podi is full of health and is very tasty too. Dhaniya/ Coriander Seeds aid in digestion and is widely used in Indian cooking. To make this Dhaniya podi, we need some very basic ingredients that are easily available in the pantry. It is so tasty and can be used to pair up with Idli and Dosa . - I have used the block asafoetida in this recipe while roasting. If you do not have them, you can also add asafoetida powder while grinding the podi.
- Replace white urad dal with split black urad dal if you like them.
