Classic Hot Chocolate Drink

Winter days are usually very short with day light. It tends to great dark very soon. We always love to sip on hot beverages and soup during winter. One such hot beverage that is favorite for all of us is the classic hot chocolate. Hot Chocolate can be made in different ways. But I love to keep it simple, flavorful and tasty that is soothing for cold winter days. In this recipe, I have used unsweetened cocoa powder and flavored with spices to make a tasty. hot chocolate drink. Do try this recipe and enjoy on a cold wintry day.

  • In a saucepan, add 250 ml of whole milk. Let it warm up.
  • While the milk warms up, take a bottle and add one teaspoon of cocoa powder, quarter teaspoon of cinnamon powder and vanilla Essence. Add 3-4 chocolate chips to it. Add quarter cup of warm milk to it. Close lid and shake well.
  • When the milk begins to boil, add the hot chocolate mix from the bottle. Add one teaspoon of sugar to it and boil till milk foams up.
  • Transfer to a serving cup. Garnish with whipped cream and add grated chocolate. Serve warm with some cookies.

Notes

I have used unsweetened cocoa powder in this recipe. If you are using sweetened cocoa powder, adjust the sugar to taste. You can add peppermint candies if you like the flavor.
