Evening snacks have become an essential one when kids are at home. Fried snacks are fine once in a while, but not often. I made these bread pizzas when I had half pack of bread that was nearing its expiry date. It was easy to make when you chop ingredients and have things available at home. This can be put together in a jiffy and my kids helped me in assembling them ( For them it was a fun activity though! ) and I loaded them to the oven. This is a time when ordering food from outside is not a choice for many of us due to fear and healthy eating. When you have hungry kids that need some activity too, do try this with them. This will be interesting for them as well as tasty too. Also, know that you can add any veggies for your choice too.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 deg F. Clean, chop the onions, and bell peppers into cube shapes. Grate the cheese if you use block type cheese.
  2. In a cookie sheet, line up bread without touching each other. Drizzle olive oil to the bread and apply pizza sauce generously over the bread.
  3. Now top off with Onions and bell peppers generously. Sprinkle salt, pepper over the toppings. Make sure to check your pizza sauce for salt. If it already has salt in it, avoid adding salt again.
  4. Top off with a generous amount of cheese and finish off with mixed herbs. Place it in the oven and bake for 15 mins and additionally broil for 5 mins if you like the cheese to change color.
  5. Remove from the oven and allow it cool a bit. Slice and serve this easy and yummy faux pizza.
